Wiltse Creek

Wiltse Creek | Charleston Lake
Every year I have a handful of clients looking to buy a cottage or lake house in Eastern Ontario. I love working this space. It gets me out of the city, into more complex and interesting properties, and is the perfect time to take the bike instead of the car. A few weeks ago I found myself at the Southern end of Charleston Lake checking out what my clients thought appeared to be an unusually affordable cottage in a great location. Turned out to be a bit of a shack, so they had to pass. But it made for a gorgeous day, and one more data point to help them learn the waterfront market. Charleston Lake flows into Wiltse Creek. I caught site of this compelling view down the creek and stopped to shoot it when I was arriving early for the showing as I generally do. The hamlet of “Outlet” sits at the point where the Lake forms the headwater of the creek. A great place for canoeing, fishing, hiking, a little north of Landsdowne, Ontario
